About Meri Kytö, PhD
Meri Kytö, PhD, is university teacher (yliopisto-opettaja, in Finnish) in musicology at the University of Turku, Finland, and associate professor (dosentti) in auditory culture studies at the University of Eastern Finland where she also has taught courses in film sound research. Her own research in film has focused mainly on Turkish cinema, sonic representation and narrative.
She is an editor of Musiikki and Seismograf Peer, and in the editorial boards of Sound Stage Screen, International Journal of Current Research in the Humanities, and Vastapaino publishing house.
